The elections on February 23rd led to significant changes in Germany’s political balance. While the CDU/CSU was able to increase its share of the vote and emerge as the strongest party, the historic rise of the AfD and the losses of the SPD and the Greens were particularly noticeable.
These results make it clear that Germany is entering a crucial phase in terms of migration policy, dual citizenship and social integration. It is particularly important for the Turkish and Muslim communities to protect equal rights, strengthen the fight against discrimination and promote democratic participation.
Our hope is that the new political era will be characterized by inclusive measures that strengthen social peace, enable equal representation for all and value the contributions of migrants.
Democracy thrives on the participation of citizens. With the awareness that diversity is an enrichment, we will continue to take responsibility for our common future.
We want a fair, equal and inclusive future for all communities in Germany.
